‘Red’

The loft clearing has found some things that I didn’t realise I even had, including this photograph. This is Red, a racing stallion I used to ride. Although quick he wasn’t any good as a racehorse as he was far too well mannered. I could take out beginners with him and I’d be the only one that could pull up. Not a useful skill in a race horse. I used to ride him at five in the morning before going to teach in a Special Needs Nursery (My first Teaching job). I would sit in reviews thinking someone smells really horsey and unsurprisingly that would be me even after a change of clothes and shoes!
