By the canal

This evening I met up with B and we walked all three dogs by the canal at Edstone aqueduct. It was a nice calm evening. The sun was out and fairly warm. Lots of birds were singing and we heard a woodpecker hammering on a tree. There was hardly anyone around and the dogs enjoyed sniffing and exploring. We heard them first and then looked up and saw 3 swans come in to land on the far side field beyond the canal, a beautiful sight. We also saw some ducks and I saw a few geese flying over too. On the way home Isae another spectacular sunset and then the clouds turned a beautiful shade of pink and subtle pastel shade of purple
