Red-necked Grebe
An 8 mile cycle ride, and a plodge through muddy fields brought the reward of my first ever sighting of a red-necked grebe. Always a real thrill to spot a "lifer". Also enjoyed views of kestrels hovering, wigeons whistling, herons flying, reed buntings feeding and a pair of toads doing what toads (and other creatures) do at this time of year.
