Menai Suspension Bridge - Pont y Borth
Another absurdly busy day at work, switching from task to task, and feeling like I got nothing done at all.
Today's stamp is a 1968 stamp that belongs with the same family that the M4 viaduct stamp I blipped a while ago. This bridge was designed by Telford so that MPs could get from London to Dublin more easily via Holyhead. The bridge is an early example of an iron chain suspension bridge, now converted to steel chains which are stronger and lighter.
