Good news
Australia is struggling with the rollout of our vaccine program. It's largely about the Commonwealth government trying to do something which our state governments are more geared up to do, that is manage something on the ground. The Commonwealth has a woeful track record on managing programs but they never learn. Egos!!
Anyway, the good news is that the first Astrazeneca shots for the 70+ population will commence on Monday. The bad news is the Commonwealth government has now created another fiasco with an online booking service that is full of problems. It's honestly 'Pythonesque'. People are tearing their hair out trying to find out how to book an appointment. Not in our house, however. My better half quickly found her way through the maze and WE ARE BOOKED IN for next week. So, too, are our friends who live locally because we have sent them the link to the booking service that works without going near the government's website. So, at last there is some light at the end of the tunnel.
