Day 17

After a couple of nights of decent sleep, where I wasn’t constantly aware of discomfort in my knees, I was feeling reasonably confident about today’s run. However pretty much as soon as I set off the pain was back. I got round but I knew it wasn’t right. It’s so frustrating as I feel fitter and like I could almost be enjoying the runs if it wasn’t for the constant discomfort and anxiety. So on my return I made the decision to take a break from the running. It left me feeling quite down but I’ve read various articles about running and painful knees and in 100% of cases the advice is to rest. I think I maybe tried to do too much too quickly.
