Spring-like
DC’s cherry Blossoms Festival (a 10-day affair) is cancelled again this year. The events around our beautiful cherry trees draw several million people, in tight quarters, so health concerns took precedence. I’m sad because I work for the organizers to photograph several of their events.
But the organizers decided that they would encourage people to decorate their own houses on theme and provided helpful guidelines to recreate the blossoms using a variety of means. I gave this a try today (white coffee filters dipped in food coloring and placed on dead branches) and quite liked the results :). Here’s the link with helpful videos if you’d like to try it: https://nationalcherryblossomfestival.org/event/porch-parade/
For those of us living in DC, we can register our decorated houses online and people can do a drive through :)
