I was going to mention shorts, but...
The street is angry! The council have decided to impose parking restrictions (after thinking about it for a couple of years). The problem is - they want to put a post up by each "parking bay" indicating when you can park there. This looks awful (as you can see another streets around us).
The first post went up this afternoon. There was a protracted discussion and the workmen went away. I think the wind blew down the post, because it is now in the gutter.
We all suggested they put the parking signs on the walls at the boundary of our gardens. Apparently this is not an option (even though it has been done elsewhere). We have called and emailed the council.
The workmen said they would be back tomorrow...
