Willow curtain
A memorable date.
This was my mother’s birthday - always one that’s ingrained in anyone’s mind.
A year ago today, my gorgeous DougsJB proposed to PuddleDuck in Edinburgh, in a favourite spot of hers, and she said ‘yes’. And now they’re married, and she’s one of us. Delighted.
A year ago today, Elbows and I phoned HatBox and SkyeMan, who were weeks away from their wonderful exciting glorious wedding and decided, with all the Covid news, to cancel their reception, cancel everything, except a small legal ceremony and exchange of vows. SkyeMan’s family weren’t going to be allowed to travel down. It was so so hard to do and it still makes me sad. They were amazing and very godly. After the initial shock and emotion, and by the next morning, they were both back in total organisation mode.
As I walked today, I wanted a picture that reminded me of my mother. Willow does because I use to hide behind the long fronds of a willow tree when I was little.
