Getting creative

I saw this little snail about to be crushed by our fence guy, so I moved it to a safer place. It happily crawled around my hand while I got my camera gear ready, and then 'posed' for a few minutes before I put it somewhere out of the way. 

I decided to play with my processing, applying a grungy layer and making the image almost high key. I like the result. It's a bit like a drawing, but I assure you, it is not. I'm not that clever!

It was my day off today; I'll be back at work tomorrow. Little Miss is still full of snot, so she'll be home for a fourth day. She got in touch with her teachers today, but wasn't really feeling up to doing much work.
