Marks - what do we leave?

Unusual markings on the footpath - no not tracks in the snow, nor cracks caused by an earthquake or hard frost, but actually the shadow of the fence rails in glorious sunshine today as we walked from the carpark at Avebury through to the village.

Great time walking round the stones, and then as we walked into the museum we were spotted by a school party. On our way out they called to us and we discovered they were from one of the schools where we took assemblies. We had been remembered, and recognised even when out and about in a different setting.

Marks on the path, marks in peoples lives, what influences do we have on people we meet - often we won't ever know, but my prayer is that the marks we leave will be good positive ones.
