Backlit katydid - green for St Patrick's Day

Beautifully detailed insects, the lines and patterns can be seen better with the light behind. They live in native and introduced plants, and eat vegetation. Sometimes get mistaken for preying mantis. Scientific name is Caedicia simplex.
