Hopalong...

I first noticed this curlew 5 years ago because she (longer bill than the male) was limping. Her right leg was broken but she seemed to cope well. She's been back to the same field to breed every year. She's back again, which is just amazing. But, her limp is more pronounced and although she can still fly, she's not covering much ground when feeding. She's feeding well but needs to have a 'sit down' quite often. Her right wing also seems a bit droopy...Fingers crossed she survives another breeding season... #whatasurvivor
