Pate and home made pickles

24 hours after my jag on Sunday I started feeling a bit peaky. It would be too good to be true to get away without any side effects.

After another night's sleep I'm still a bit off but better.

There seems to be a shortage of pickled gherkins in my area (I put that down to Brexit) so I decided to make my own.

50/50 Japanese rice vinegar and water, a pinch of salt. Boiled until the salt dissolves then added to sliced onions and carrots (with some aromats). Leave for 24 hours in the fridge.
