Mono Monday - Birds and/or fauna
Glad to get out for a walk again after days of wind and rain. It was pleasantly warm and springlike. Headed for the hide to see if there were any birds around - must have been siesta time as the only creature about was a single squirrel. Back to the pond and various shots taken of the regal swans, but this gull won out. Sitting on the float in the centre of the pond it is rather a fuzzy shot as I was some distance away, but I liked the fluffiness of the feathers. Chatted to several people up there - a lovely Indian chap who used to drive the local bus routes, a young couple up there for the first time, a lady who had brought a friend from Halifax and then found she couldn’t walk far, the lovely elderly couple up there every day on their Zimmer frames who walk their corgi, and I spied a photographer with the most enormous lens I have ever seen! I bet his shots weren’t’t fuzzy! Thanks to Beckett for hosting.
