Filming

 A friend who had a hobby video film business based on attending equestrian tournaments and filming every single participants ride and then hoping to sell the result to them. He had good quality equipment but not full professional cameras.

He asked me to go up to Aachen on the Belgium border for a week to film the European Championship for Quarter Horses. I agreed. I can't for the life of me remember where we stayed but from memory he did ensure it was a decent hotel.

Have to say very boring work, time and time and time again filming the same circles and turns and jumps and stops and skids and .........

The events were all held indoors rather than the large annual outdoor stadium where the CHIO (Concours Hippique International Officiel) event has been held since 1924 and where all the very well known "English" riding equestrian events are held.
