Colour Combinations

After quite a full day, took a quick drive to the bridge over the Alcarrache, near Luz (on the horizon), to watch the sunset. Always fascinates me how the colours get so much more intense after the sun disappears, and how they are totally different depending on what direction you look. Loved here how the points of land seem to be throwing out golden light into the purple water.

- Golden Hill, by Francis Spufford, what an amazing read; took me a while to get into it, but absolutely loved it - the sort of book you turn back to the beginning and start reading again as soon as you've finished it
