Mrs Blackbird

We had a message from our son-in-law this morning to say they have a blue tit in residence in their bird box. Unfortunately the box is just sitting on a ledge outside their front door as they were waiting to borrow a ladder to fix it up in a tree. They are going to have to be very careful going in and out for a while, they may have to use the back door. We haven't had any real interest in our box yet, though next door have got some much posher boxes than ours - you can make them out in the blip - which may explain why we have no takers yet.

We do have a blackbird nest in our jasmine though. It's looking pretty exposed at the moment, and mrs blackbird was being very cagey about it as I was looking for a suitable bird image for Mono Monday. I thought birds would be easy today but then I remembered I don't have much patience.
