Waiting on the incoming tide

Another day at work and the couple of days of no admissions seem like a fantasy, as the unit has returned to being full with acutely ill patients having to wait before we can admit them. 

Left at a reasonable time, so I called in at the big hardware store in Warkworth to get a second bedside lamp. Which is where I saw the manhole cover I’ve photographed and posted as today’s extra. I like the idea that a cover of the entry to a storm water drain is called Uber.

Went for a jog cum walk on the mudflats (very muddy today after last night’s rain). And as I left to go back home, I saw the Kotare (kingfisher).
