Hummingbird Chicks

The two hummingbird chicks are changing as they grow.
Initially their beaks were yellow, but now seem to be darkening on the outside to the black of the mature hummingbird,.
I guess this color change aids them in hiding them from predators.
Their beaks remain bright yellow on the inside as a highly visible target for Mom's fuel deliveries.
