The Rocket’s White Trail

We ushered in Daylight Savings (here in the USA) by rising an hour earlier than usual for our weekly shopping run. Upon opening the door, there in the dawning sky, was a gaseous white trail that had been left behind by a re-scheduled rocket launch just thirty minutes earlier, We are but a few miles away from the launch pads, so we’re usually attuned to when these events are going to happen. But as is normally the case, this launch set for the five AM hour, was re-scheduled without our knowing. It was awe inspiring to see as the sky was cloudless with the new days sun just making itself known. In these moments, I’m learning to take a deep breath, and to sense God’s world as it unfolds before me.
