Both upsetting and enraging to see what happened in Clapham last night. A peaceful, respectful, and safe vigil would have been entirely possible, and the organisers did everything they could to ensure that. The Met made sure it wasn't. From the photos I've seen it seems they hadn't even figured out it might have been a good move to send mostly female officers. They will be forever shamed by the videos and photos of bulky officers kettling and manhandling women who had come to grieve.

And however upset we are, imagine how Sarah's family and friends must feel. On the day it was chillingly reported that her body was identified from dental records.
