Let me dance among the stars
T'is Mother's day.
and today I was appreciated.
Not only by my Children, but by my husband, who heard what I loved, and acted on it to ensure my children got me, not something that I needed, but something that I coveted.
I had stood several times by one of the little shops in town, sighing at how beautiful these little soft toys were, but pondering to myself, that they were just lovely things. That they would add no great value, or purpose to my life, and I would walk on.
But I would always stop and look.
Boy First, with Rowan the Hare. Himself next with Autumn The Fox, and Tooli lastly with Webster the Duck. It was like having a baby. I examined all their little bits. Their paws, their tail, their webbed feet, their beaks, their whiskers.
Totally beautiful. And ALL mine.
Himself also treated me to Bacon and poached eggs. Also totally beautiful and all mine.
I've knitted, I've pottered, and this afternoon himself and I took a drive and a wee walk around the town.
I was going to try a lemon meringue pie this afternoon - but it was five o'clock before I realised.
Lovely Mother's Day.
