Mary’s birthday

I needed peach jam but couldn’t get any. Neither were there any peaches at the local Co Op so I made nectarine jam ( whilst drinking a peach gin! ). Then I made Mary’s cakes which were supposed to be peaches and cream influenced but nectarines had to do.

She had a new top from her mum with her name and her pony’s name printed on the back.

I have her a new hoof pick, hoof oil brush, a silk for her hat and a scrunchie in Pony Club colours for her hair.

Despite no party ( that must be a relief for parents, one of the few silver linings of the pandemic, no expensive parties! ) she’d had a good birthday.
