Looking north to Oakridge over the Golden Valley

Driving along the top of the ridge towards Frampton Mansell I saw this vista over the steep valley. It gives a good impression of this wooded Cotswold landscape where the flowing water erodes the limestone to form the steep valleys. If I'd looked in the opposite direction the land would be nearly flat farmland with occasional copses or more managed woodland.

The horse was accompanied by a donkey in this field and is at least fifty feet lower than where I was standing.
