Moutere...

Dry summer grasses sit under the autumn sunlight on either side of the Moutere River.
The river flows from the Moutere Hills and meets the sea near Motueka. The river mouth is very tidal and at almost high tide when I took this photo the river looks very full of water. 

Distant Mount Arthur gets covered in snow during the winter months. It’s usually the closest we get snow falls in Motueka!
