Hiking
The river Geul is rising again. According to the internet site with information about water levels, it is not too bad. The water flows very fast, but it does when the river is so low that you can paddle in it. The Geul is the fastest flowing river in the Netherlands. The water flows quickly enough to supply the adjacent mills and approximately 250 homes with electricity.
Because of the strong wind and high chance of rain, we left the bikes in the shed and went for a walk. Not too far, because tomorrow we will go hiking again in good weather conditions. I prefer walking anyway, so I'm fine with it. Bert, on the other hand, is more of a cyclist and has to rediscover the benefits of walking every time :-).
