Sutton Park in the rain.

Another in the Cazneaux style (see yesterday's blip).
Sutton Park is a delightful rest area just off the Great Western Highway on the southern approach to Blackheath.
We are fortunate to have a tunnel bypass for the highway now approved, which will take the bulk of the heavy traffic away from the village itself. However, there are two options on the table for further consideration, of which the cheaper option (short tunnel) would have its southern portal right here and potentially wipe out Sutton Park.
It will be no surprise to learn that the locals are all behind the long tunnel option which will preserve homes and leave Sutton Park intact, but economics and politics suggest that this may not happen!
