Lake skating

It rarely happens, but a brief interlude of 14C weather followed by a cold snap allowed the whole lake to become a fabulous ice rink.

Went out at 10am, skating conditions were perfect. By 1130, the sun had caused the ice to become too brittle, and every step was a struggle. Glad I got the kids to play hooky
