Signs of life
around Beaver Lake in Hobbs State Park & Conservation Area. Miles of hills and woods around the lake are Miya's favorite places to run free. I forgot my camera, so all photos are taken on my iPhone. The water level is controlled by the US Army Corp of Engineers. As of these photos it is .75 feet below full pool. They draw it down in the winter, I would think in preparation for spring rain (which we are getting in full force in the next few days). If I had my long lens, I'd be able to show the Eastern Bluebirds that chirped away at us and the turkey vulture crew of 9 all in one tree, but no. We saw a waterskier practicing with many colored buoy's out. Miya wanted to chase him, but stopped as soon as commanded. Ended the day with take out fish and a zoom cocktail hour with friends from the old neighborhood.
