Nuthatch
Today I've been up early, trying to get things cleaned and sorted, as my weekend is a little shorter this week.
I popped round to my pa-rents to drop round both a Mother's Day gift and Anniversary present, 58 years wed this year for them. Of course I couldn't go in, but did briefly see the garden. Mum was delighted.
On the way over, I heard an article on the radio talking about introverts, extroverts, and something in between, ambiverts - those who need both company and solitude in similar measure. I must be one of those, I think. It struck me that in the future, we need to register whether people are extroverts, introverts or ambiverts like gender. Because in a pandemic, it would be good to amend the rules a bit. Introverts can happily cope with severely curtailed social contact. Ambiverts can cope. But extroverts struggle and I think it really challenges their mental health - and perhaps we need a system of accommodating their needs in that regard in a more nuanced way. I don't know what that would be of course, but perhaps a slightly larger bubble for extroverts? Perhaps a bubble where two households can join regardless of size, so two families could be a bubble?
