Zebra Tree

Had a wonderful day today, two walks and two miles clocked
My first mile was with Hollie dog and she definitely lives for the moment. So happy to be out. Me too!
My second walk was impromptu and unplanned. I had been to the opticians to collect my new glasses and decided to take a walk around the West Park, one of Wolverhampton's jewels. It used to be a racecourse until it was sold to the corporation in the 1800s and turned into a park, with many attractions. Including many Grade ll listed buildings, 8 acres of lakes and masses of trees, pathways and ornamental flower beds and gardens. It is a gem, and a complete circuit of the perimeter path is exactly one mile. Very handy and obviously a throwback to it's racecourse origins. The boundary is demarcated by lovely low stone walls and beautiful ornate iron fencing. I could not resist this view with the strong sunlight casting some superb shadows. A thoroughly enjoyable hour with loads of interest and pleasing views. Come to sunny Wolverhampton, you won't regret it!
