Color of Spring......

When I gaze around at the trees, I see the beautiful new green of the leaves.  It shows up first at the top of the tree.     Thats where the the tree is growing the fastest, where the the bark is newest and healthiest,  where the cold affects the old leaves, where the sun stimulates the petioles to get wake up and swell, to unfurl and replace the old leaves.    As one gazes around, you can find the old, dark green leaves that are left, lower down the tree and the branches.    I find trees to be absolutely amazing and beautiful.
