Gateway to the woods....

We went on a lovely walk through Hayes Common this morning. One footpath we took at the beginning of the walk was parallel to a private road of very nice houses with openings onto the common. One house had put a gate across the opening. It fitted in perfectly with the surrounding luxury.

The woods are cross crossed with footpaths. Apparently if you get lost you just follow your nose and you’ll get where you intended. I’m not sure I’d trust my nose.

Little Legs was good company this evening. I’m intrigued that she does her business in the same place each walk.
