Long day

Bit of a disturbed night and wide awake at 5 so just got up and got on with the reference I needed to do for someone today then straight into back to back meetings through the morning.
Managed a super quick walk in my lunch half hour and just about missed the showers that were on and off all day, then home for further meetings whilst juggling the BT engineer who arrived to fix my TV box at the same time. Lovely to catch up with my mentee and we had a really good conversation. So good to hear her plans and excitement for her future career...what a tonic.

Chatted to A later about the impact of the young woman’s recent murder in London. She was the sister of a friend of H’s and H has been so upset all week since she went missing. Listened to the news about moves to reclaim the streets for women with marches this weekend. So far nothing about whether there will be similar events up here. I keep thinking of her family and the ripples of shock and sadness spreading far and wide. RIP Sarah
