It's done!

We got jabbed today. It's remarkable to think back to a year ago, when so little was known about this novel virus, and governments saw an almost complete shut down as the only way to fight it. We didn't dream that within a year not just one but several effective vaccines would have been developed, tested, and distributed. And even a couple of weeks ago I was very pessimistic about getting vaccinated before late April. Now we just have to wait six weeks for our second jab.

We were vaccinated by our doctor in Lagrasse, along with eight other people. Each person emerged from the surgery smiling. While we waited I popped out to grab a few photos, so here's the abbey. It was post curfew by the time we came out, but luckily I'd thought ahead and printed attestations in the unlikely event that we were stopped  by gendarmes on the deserted road home. Lagrasse itself was like a ghost town, virtually no-one about, even before the clock had struck six. Roll on the day when bars and restaurants can reopen.
