Mrs Mallard

After the recent heavy rainfall the water level in the White Cart was really quite high. In some places the water had crept over the banks giving the ducks a few more sheltered areas away from the fast flowing river and nearer to me and my camera.

The garden is back to quagmire status so no work there this afternoon. From the lounge window I watched the daffodils being battered by wind and rain .... just glad that the camellia is still in bud so the pink flowers are relatively safe for the moment.
