Day 070/21. A sign of a good spring?

Out between the rain showers today for a walk around locally.
These trees (Cherry Trees?) are covered with blossom, not yet fully opened. But judging by the amount of blossom on them it should be the sign of a good spring. Or have I got that the wrong way around?
