Haunted???

The house that we and the fur children inhabit is ~85-100 years old. No one is sure of its true age as it may have been moved from another street and placed on the current foundation in 1927.

One of the many perks installed by a previous owner is a large deck off the back of the house. Unfortunately, there was no direct access, and you had to exit the side door and walk around the back of the house. So, in 2006, after purchasing and stripping a set of church doors removed during a demolition, I set out to remove a window in the dining room and install said doors.

Today's blip, and missymoo's March 3rd challenge, is the skeleton key that came with the doors. I should mention that the beautiful brass hardware and wood that you see here were covered by several coats of paint and varnish.

We're always hearing sounds, creaks and groans one would associate with an old house. On top of this the fur kids are always looking blankly at corners, down halls and up the stairs. Thus, I decided to use the magic of PS-CS6 to represent the potential spirit mixing of placing church doors, opened with a skeleton key, in a house that may have existed in two different areas of Kentville....
