Communicating

I never know for sure what my mom understands, but when I observed that her fingernails were dirty and said it looked like she'd been digging in the dirt, she immediately got busy cleaning one nail at a time.

It's hard to remember what she says when it's close to regular but a bit slant. I did record "I'm glad I'm glad" and "It's still so hundred," which I took to mean, "I'm glad to see you, and I can't believe it's been a whole g*d* year since you were able to come inside!"
