Paula

It was raining this morning but I managed to drag myself out of bed and out of the house by twenty to eight for a walk. I enjoy the walk, it’s the getting out there that is hard.

I was working in Handforth today and Paula came to visit the session. It was so lovely to see her. Paula is an inspiration, she has had a rough couple of years and yet she always has a smile. She has had breast cancer and needed further surgery as they left a wire in her which was only found after lots of discomfort. After successful treatment she came back to work but then she was in a car crash which was not her fault. She had various injuries but the worst was a fractured arm. They pinned it up but there were problems and it didn’t heal properly. She had further operations and bone grafts and it still isn’t right. Hopefully, she will eventually be able to return to work...she will have to start from scratch again and we joked about her being the trainee for the longest. She had a meeting at base and as Handforth was in her way home I’d said she should call in. She timed it perfectly as we were on our break so we could all sit and chat.

I’ve missed her on session and it was great to see her. Oh....and she loved her little bee :)
