New socks

The sun shone this morning but I was stuck in the house waiting for the gas repair man, who didn't come until early afternoon. In order to get someone today we had to take whenever he could come but the good news is the repair is done and the house is warm.
It then began to rain but I got out for a run when it wasn't too bad and did a longer version of the run round the park.
Today is my birthday and the socks are one of my presents, along with some merino wool to knit a cardigan, a colouring book and pens, a jigsaw, and a few other things. 
Mr Rat cooked a very tasty lamb bhuna for tea, and we followed it with honeycomb icecream.
