Just Grab a Handful

Actually quite a few handfuls. The excess spoil is being carted off the site a lorry load at a time.  I’m not sure how much will be left for backfill when the retaining wall is built.
 
 
Not the best of days.  This morning it became evident that the southerly wind was/is causing more problems than I imagined with our boiler.  A couple of Sundays back I checked it out and found that my ‘extra air’ had more than compensated for the wind direction, and thinking storm force southerly winds were gone for this year reset the air register..
 
How wrong can you be?  I cannot remember a wind so direct on to the side of the house, and this morning it actually blew the boiler out, and filled it full of the soot I thought would be there last time.
 
Job now complete AGAIN, this time with excess air on again!!
 
Photographic Group meeting in a few minutes time, so must throw this up and get prepared (find the whisky!).
