I do keep meaning to tidy the kitchen windowsill and have it perfectly bare, but nice things just creep onto the space.

I love those magazine pictures of clear and neat kitchen work surfaces. I aspire to that. But in real life the toaster, kettle, coffee machine, mug tree, knife block, mixer etc demand their moment in the sun. Or work surface.

The Ards Man has a COVID test scheduled for tomorrow - the excitement! - as he has a little bit of hand surgery to unlock his ‘trigger finger’ on Friday. So we’ve been self-isolating at home this week. And I’ve been a bit bored today, hence a photo of the window sill!
