What a bloody day!
The only way to get through this kind of situation is to just laugh and not panic.
Last night around 20 of us went to Poole for an 18th birthday dinner party. The evening was superb food wine music laughter (you know the kind) but was very much ready to go home this morning. So four of us after breakfast set off at around 12 o'clock to go back to mine. Heading down the A35 and then suddenly this massive cloud of thick white smoke started to bellow out of the bonnet. So I started panicking because I couldn't see very well and thought that the best thing to do was obviously pull over.
So we pulled over ASAP but to our luck it was on the busiest roundabout in the South West probably. It was the roundabout where you change to get onto the A31. Cars started pomping at us and the smoke just wouldn't go! Because I was drinking last night I thought that if the police get involved I would be screwed. It had been 12 hours since I had had a drink but I was still freaking out.
Once the smoke had gone we set off but tried to go home through the forest. Bad move! We set off on the completely wrong direction and then the smoke started up again. So we pulled into a campsite and got mum and dad on the phone. They both suggested that the problem was probably coming from my radiator because the smoke wasn't black and under the bonnet it was soaking. Mum firstly suggested that we try and put water in the car so as I sat next to the car. The others went off in search of water from people in the campsite. No success but luckily dad had said that we shouldn't open the water valve because it would have been scalding.
Anyway after about 30mins of waiting for the engine to cool down we set off but the only way home was going back on the A31. Damn! So we got on the A31 doing about 35mph (to be safe) and having people flashing and beeping us because if our speed.
It was honestly like something out of the inbetweeners! Finally got home to an awaiting bowl of amazing pasta.
Back to school tonight.
