Very Homemade

Taken just in time at 23.58.02 pm.

Last night (Friday) Eva went down at 8.30pm and slept until I woke her for a feed at 12.30pm. So rather than try and do it in the day, I thought I would leave the cake decorating until Toby was in bed and Eva was in bed and I could do it all in one go. Eva had other ideas! She was awake from 6pm till 1.45am non stop (this is back-blipped!) I kept having to stop to feed her when Mike couldn't pacify her any other way and felt very stressed as the icing kept cracking as it dried out! I finally finished it just after midnight (I added a few more flowers after taking this) by which point I really had lost the will. So the cake is very homemade looking but at least the kids knew who it was supposed to be so not a total fail!

Finally crawled into bed at 3am after icing cupcakes and cleaning icing from every surface! Got to keep my smile on - its party time :0D
