Beach Walk

I left the roofers to the sunny morning after supplying the coffee and lemon drizzle cake, and went to the beach with Dog, a beautiful warm(ish) sunny day. Later the man from the insurance company came, took lots of notes and damp readings of the walls, inspected the work outside and declared that it could not be claimed for on the insurance. He was most apologetic but it’s not an ‘unusual event’ but wear and tear. 

It was lovely to see Di who came to prune my roses and discuss what I want to do with a border. She gave me some tips, and I can now look forward to a trip out to the garden centre on Thursday.
