Tree in a polo mint!
Today we went down the mountain in search of warmer temperatures. Really enjoyed a run from Villeneuve to Montreux and back along Lake Geneva. There is so much to see including the Chateau de Chillon (see tag), sculptures, flowers , beautiful buildings and of course the lake and birds.
Blip is a quirky sculpture and the tree is on the smallest of 5 islands on the lake. It is called Ile de Peilz and was the inspiration for some lines of the poem Prisoner of Chillon by Bryon
(1816). Extra = whole sculpture in colour
(shame about the lamp post!).
