Early morning stroll around Brimham Rocks ..... without a soul in sight. Quiet, quiet, quiet ..... and dramatically beautiful.

For many years people thought the dramatic shapes were carved by druids. Many have amazing names such as; the Smartie Tube, the Rocking Stones, the Anvil, Porpoise Head, Druid's Head, Druid's Writing desk, Druid's Castle, Druid's Pulpit, Druid's Parlour, Druid's Kitchen, Druid's Coffin, Druid's telescope,  the Eye of the Needle, Oyster Shell, Rocking Stones, Baboon Rock, Mushroom Rock, Wishing Rock, Yoke of Oxen, Druid's Altar, Boat Rocking Stone, Dancing Bear, Rhinoceros Head, Pivot Rock, Lovers' Leap, Frog and Tortoise, Cannon Rocks, Split Rock, Sphinx Rock, Rabbit Rock, Elephant's Head, Dog Rock, the Watchdog and Tiger's Head.

Phew!
