Tiny Tuesday - Prickly Pear

I was attracted to the huge cactus down the road because I could see all the fruit up high in silhouette as we got closer.  The only prickly pears on the ground had lots of creatures feasting on them, but then I found this one which seemed deserted even though it had an entry hole in the side eek!  I was imagining a whole host of things coming out of that hole as I picked it up, it was quite soft and squishy at the back end ugh!!  But still it made an interesting shot, loved those curved ridges and nothing came out of the hole thank goodness!! :o)   A shot in extras of the ones up high!

Very hot and muggy here today and still near 30c at 9.30pm ugh!!
